Where
can I get an International Merchant Account?
If
you are not a U.S. citizen, or if you are a U.S. citizen with a
bad credit rating or other credit problems, you may have noticed
that it is very difficult to get a merchant account. However, that
does not mean that you can't do it. Although you usually end up
paying higher fees for the increased risk that you represent to
US banks, there are still many companies that are willing to take
the risk and your money. You may try looking in the search engines
under "international Merchant Account" for best results.
If you are a non-U.S. citizen, it is also a good idea to look for
a solution in your home country, as that will most likely be the
cheapest AND easiest. If there is a U.S. based bank with a presence
in your country, that may make it easier and cheaper to do business
with U.S. customers.:
